Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Cutero at app.cutero.app and related Early Access materials on getcutero.com.

By creating an account or using Cutero, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. This document is a practical first draft based on current product behavior. It is not professional legal advice. Owner-review fields appear in square brackets.

1. Early Access

Cutero is currently in Early Access. Features may change, contain bugs, experience interruptions, or be removed. Reliability and availability are not guaranteed at the level of a mature commercial product.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share your password. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised via privacy@getcutero.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt unauthorized access to Cutero systems or other users’ data
• Abuse registration, password reset, or email flows (including spam or automation)
• Interfere with security, rate limiting, or abuse-prevention measures
• Use Cutero for unlawful purposes

4. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service for maintenance, security, or product reasons. Early Access may include planned and unplanned downtime.

5. User-provided data

You retain responsibility for subscription information you enter (names, prices, renewal dates, KEEP / CUT decisions, and related notes). You represent that you have the right to enter that information into Cutero.

6. Not financial advice; no guaranteed savings

Cutero helps you track subscriptions and estimate potential savings based on data you enter. Cutero is not financial, tax, or legal advice. Displayed amounts depend on user-entered data. Cutero does not guarantee that you will realize any savings.

7. You cancel subscriptions yourself

KEEP and CUT are decision-tracking states inside Cutero. Cutero does not cancel third-party subscriptions for you. You remain responsible for reviewing provider billing terms and cancelling services directly with each provider when you choose to do so.

8. Intellectual property

Cutero branding, UI, and software are owned by Jacopo Penazzi, operating Cutero or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the product except as allowed by applicable law.

9. Third-party names and trademarks

Third-party service names and logos that may appear in the catalog or interface are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

10. Third-party services

Cutero relies on infrastructure and services such as hosting, database, email delivery, abuse prevention (Cloudflare Turnstile), and privacy-conscious analytics (self-hosted Umami). Their availability and policies may affect your experience.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cutero is provided “as is” and “as available” during Early Access, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacopo Penazzi, operating Cutero is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or savings arising from your use of Cutero. Liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim (which may be zero during free Early Access).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Governing law and venue: these Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or another jurisdiction providing mandatory consumer protections, this choice of law does not deprive you of any protections granted to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction determined by applicable law. Where legally permitted and where mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules do not apply, the competent courts shall be those of Italy..

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using Cutero at any time. Account deletion is currently handled by request (see the Privacy Policy); self-service deletion is not yet available.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance when permitted by law.
